CHILL OUT IN MUNICH
Munich is not just the capital of Bavaria. It is also the second most important city in Germany. Its many museums, beer culture, shops and lively city centre attract millions of city trippers every year. Its international airport makes it the obvious choice for a city trip destination.
Bavaria was once a rich principality. Silent witnesses to this fact are the historic buildings and incredible treasures to be discovered in the three Pinakothek museums. That’s not all, Germany’s largest collection of antique art is found in Munich.
It is also the beer city par excellence, with countless Biergärten (beer gardens); and let’s not forget the renowned Oktoberfest. Those who want to discover the unique culinary side of Munich can do so at the Viktualienmarkt (victuals market).
Munich also offers the opportunity for relaxation in its English Garden, a large green expanse in the centre of the city. Or you can take a walk through the Olympic Village and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from atop the TV towers.
We probably already have you convinced about all that Munich has to offer!
