JAPAN, ANCIENT TRADITIONS AND 21ST-CENTURY HIGH-TECH

Japan

Historic temples and futuristic cities. Mist-covered hills and super fast bullet trains. Geishas in kimonos and smartly dressed businessmen. You'll find all this and more in fascinating Japan.

During this six-day incentive trip you'll lead your party into a ‘new world’ full of contrasts and sublime culinary experiences. First you'll visit the famous Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, which houses Buddhist relics. In the evening you'll be treated to an exclusive dinner with geishas in attendance.

You'll start the next day with a morning meditation session and tea ceremony, complete with a tea master. Then all your senses will be stimulated at a local market before you enjoy magnificent views of the city from the Kiyomizu Temple.

On day three you'll take the famous Shinkansen bullet train to the capital Tokyo, but not before admiring the enchanting moss garden at the Saiho-ji temple. In Tokyo you'll stretch your legs in the lively Ginza shopping street and you'll conclude the day with a delicious dinner in a modern, panoramic restaurant.

The next day you'll start at Tsukiji Market, the largest fish market in the world, which is already super busy at 3 a.m. Then you'll visit the historic centre of Tokyo in a rickshaw, a traditional bicycle taxi, and you'll see some sports. First you'll enjoy some chankonabe for lunch. Sumo wrestlers eat this traditional stew with chicken broth every day. Then your party will attend an exclusive sumo wrestling tournament. If that isn't enough, you' evening meal will be served in the restaurant where Quentin Tarantino filmed the movie 'Kill Bill'.

On day five you'll climb a skyscraper for an unforgettable view of the metropolis and your round off your trip with a visit to the Meiji Shrine, one of the most famous Shinto temples and the official sanctuary of the royal family.

But if you still have some time or if you want to discover Japan in a different way, keep in mind the tropical beaches of Okinawa, open-air spas in the mountains, etc. How about an inspiring trip along the pilgrimage route? Japan offers so many possibilities…
