SPANISH FLAVOURS IN BARCELONA
Barcelona, the city of Gaudí and Miró, is full of surprises. This five-day meeting and incentive trip takes you to a few of the most prominent attractions, combined with local gastronomy.
After you and your travel companions have checked into your hotel, you can enjoy some free time in the city. Afterwards, a first meeting is on the programme. The day is concluded with a dinner.
On day two you'll become acquainted with the real Barcelona thanks to a visit to the famous ‘Barrio Gotico’. This neighbourhood was built in the Middle Ages on the site of a former Roman settlement. Historic buildings like the Gothic cathedral stand fraternally next to more modern constructions. We'll also explore the Plaça de Catalunya, the famous street La Rambla, and the colourful Mercat de la Boqueria, the largest fresh market in Spain. After lunch your party will return to the hotel for a meeting and the evening meal.
It's best to get to bed early because the next day you'll travel to the mysterious mountain Montserrat, 50 kilometres north of Barcelona. It's located in a unique nature park. Its fanciful shapes and spectacular views make it a real eye-catcher. On the mountain you'll discover a Benedictine monastery and the home of the Black Madonna, the patron saint of Catalonia. You'll be treated to a typical Spanish lunch in a local restaurant. Then you'll return to the hotel for a meeting and dinner.
The fourth day you'll head to the wine cellars of Codorniu, which are a protected monument and appropriately necknamed ‘the cathedral of cava’. Your party will be given an exclusive tour and can sample the wine afterwards. After lunch and a last meeting you can choose from different restaurants for a gala dinner. For example, in Costa Gallega you'll enjoy delicious Galician cuisine, including a refined selection of shellfish and tapas.
